Privacy Policy

We collect the following categories of information:

• Account information.When you sign up, we collect your name, email address, and profile information. If you sign in with a third-party provider such as Google, we receive basic profile details from that provider (see “Google user data” below).
• Content you upload. Lectures, notes, textbooks, documents, and other study materials you add to the Service, along with the quizzes, answers, and study aids generated from them.
• Usage information. Log data such as device and browser type, IP address, pages viewed, and actions taken, collected to operate and improve the Service.
• Payment information. If you purchase a paid plan, the checkout is operated by Paddle.com Market Ltd, which acts as Merchant of Record and collects your billing details under its own privacy notice. We receive only what we need to run your subscription — such as your plan, its status, and the country used for tax — and never your card number.

If you choose to sign in with Google, we request access only to your basic profile information — your name, email address, and profile picture — through Google’s OAuth process. We use this data solely to create and secure your StudyPass account and to identify you within the Service.

• We do not use Google user data for advertising.
• We do not sell Google user data.
• We do not share Google user data with third parties except as needed to provide the Service or as required by law.
• We do not use Google user data to train generalized AI or machine-learning models.

StudyPass’s use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. You can revoke StudyPass’s access at any time from your Google Account permissions.

We use the information we collect to:

• provide, maintain, and secure the Service and your account;
• generate quizzes, explanations, and study aids from the material you upload;
• process payments and manage subscriptions;
• respond to your requests and provide customer support;
• monitor, troubleshoot, and improve the Service; and
• comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.

To produce study material, your uploaded content may be processed by AI infrastructure providers acting on our behalf as service providers. This processing is done solely to generate output for you. We do not use your uploaded content or Google user data to train generalized AI models.

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only in these limited cases:

• Service providers. With vendors who host, process, or support the Service (for example, cloud hosting, AI processing, and payment processing) under contracts that require them to protect your data.
• Legal reasons. When required to comply with law, respond to lawful requests, or protect the rights, safety, and security of StudyPass, our users, or the public.
• Business transfers. In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this Policy.

We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. You can delete your uploaded content or your account at any time; when you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your personal information within a reasonable period, except where we must retain it to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, or enforce our agreements.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your personal information, or to object to or restrict certain processing. You can manage much of your data directly in your account settings, or contact us to exercise these rights. We will not discriminate against you for exercising them.

We use technical and organizational measures such as encryption in transit and access controls to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

We may process and store information in countries other than where you live. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards to protect your information when it is transferred across borders.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will provide reasonable notice, such as by posting the updated Policy with a new “Last updated” date. Your continued use of the Service after the changes take effect means you accept the revised Policy.
